How long will it take for my order to process?
At this time I will be grouping the orders and going to the post office once every two weeks, so please allow up to 2 weeks for orders to be processed upon placing an order. This allows me to bulk ship my orders which then allows me to offer the most economical shipping costs to my customers. As I am running and managing the store solely by myself it requires great care and time to prepare the orders for shipment, so your patience is greatly appreciated!
When will my prints arrive?
Canada: 1~2 weeks
United States: 2~3 weeks
International: 3~5 weeks
These are only approximates and some packages may take longer to arrive than estimated. In some countries, customs can take a while to process packages and can get held up for a long time before getting through, so your patience is greatly appreciated.
Are there additional customs fees/VAT import fees?
For customers outside of Canada and the US, customs fees or import taxes may be applied to the purchase when it goes through customs. This is assessed at the point of entry of the destination country and varies widely from country to country, so it is not included in the checkout price at the time of purchase. It is the buyer's responsibly to check with their country's customs laws to see if there may be any import taxes that may apply to your purchase.
When will I receive my tracking number?
For US/international customers, I will be using a shipping service here in Canada called Chit Chats, which allows me to use USPS as a shipping carrier by delivering the shipments across the border to the US. The tracking information becomes available once the shipments have reached the US and are in USPS's system. For Canadian customers, you will be able to track your package once your shipment is in Chit Chat's system. All customers may be able to view their tracking numbers within a week or so upon receiving a shipping notification.
What is this "Chit Chats"?
As mentioned above, Chit Chats is a Canadian shipping solution company that allows small and large businesses to use USPS as a shipping carrier. This means I am able to offer customers (especially those based in the US) more competitive shipping prices to other US-based businesses. It allows me to offer all customers affordable tracking at a fraction of the cost to what is offered by Canada Post. In almost a year that my shop has been open, I have had not one issue, one lost order with Chit Chats (knock on wood!). What is Asendia?
Asendia is a new shipping carrier that has been made available through Chit Chats. They offer a much more economical shipping method with tracking than USPS international service. I have started to use them in recent months and so far they have been reliable, so I’ve decided to offer it as an option for international customers (because shipping can get extremely expensive!).
How are the prints packaged?
It is very important to me that you receive your items in pristine condition. A print is placed in an acid-free poly bag, backed against a rigid chipboard reenforcement, then shipped flat in a sturdy cardboard flat-mailer.
What is your refund or exchange policy?
I make my best attempt at representing my products as truthfully as possible, so once the orders are placed all items are final sale. That said, in the case the products may arrive damaged, or if there is any error on my part, then I will happily remedy the issue at no cost. Please note if you have ordered through the non-tracking method then I will kindly ask that you pay the postage portion again. If you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order# and a photo of the damaged item and/or a short explanation of the issue it would be greatly appreciated.
The sale of originals are also final sale. Originals must be shipped with a shipping method that offers tracking.
